Who is Rick Clemons? Let's get the boring stuff out of the way first so we can get to the juicy insight about Rick. I'm a certified professional coach, professional speaker, LGBT Advocate, told I'm a thought provoking blogger, and the creator of a little coaching system called Coming Out Without Coming Unglued...a gentle, at your pace, in your own way, process for discovering and coming to terms with your sexuality. It's a unique system that supports you, and those around you - parents, spouses, children, friends - as you take the walk into your true sexuality. Gender, and belief-neutral in design, the process we co-navigate helps you break through the closet doors you don’t even realize you're hiding behind, enabling you to authentically thrive in a new life.
After hiding in my own closet for 38 years, I faced my fears, stepped into my truth, and began living as a gay man without regrets or shame. Now, I'm on a mission to help men and women from all walks of life embrace their own version of the coming out process and step into living their powerful truth their way. Simultaneously, I get a thrill out of helping the family dynamic revamp and morph into new modern family ties in a way that is healthy, and pain free for all concerned.

Plain and simple...I love working with LGBT individuals, their families, spouses, and children, to help them leap over their "hurdles of coming out" and into their "Powerful Purpose." It's a thrilling experience to watch a client kick the "truths" that no longer serve them to the curb, and even more exhilarating when they rediscover the essence of who they are at their core. The moment I rediscovered me, I ripped off my shirt and went for a run on the beach...literally. It was a freeing experience that came only after I began to unpack the Samsonite of my life and let go of the old garbage that was cluttering my closet - poor body image and heart breaking beliefs about my sexuality. I had done a lot of living life, but not a lot of loving life. Then one night in London I realized that living in the shadows of lies could no longer be my truth. I walked on wobbly legs through those closet doors that had held me back, loved myself with all my heart, embraced my passion, and took the empowering steps to do what I love most…help others step into the light of their lives, outside of their own closet doors.

I'm also an avid cyclist, wine drinker, chef, blogger, and spin instructor, who dabbles for fun in interior design, acrylic painting, world religions, home-remodeling, and graphic design. I've been blessed to have my life enriched with world travel – all 50 states in the U.S., Canada, England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece, Japan, Hong Kong, Bahamas, Puerto-Rico, Netherlands, Austria, and Switzerland - all of which expanded my horizons and views as a person having a human experience.
